Centre for employment sacks staff
Bosses at the Centre for Full Employment have handed redundancy notices to 13 members of staff at their West Street and Nursery Street Offices.
Those who have lost their jobs have been given enhanced redundancy on condition they sign a binding agreement restricting them from contacting the press or telling anyone they have been made redundant. None of the organisation's management team have been laid off.

Hide AdBut one former worker who contacted The Star anonymously said: "Obviously, we feel this is disgraceful, the majority of staff have been made redundant."
The Centre for Full Employment has a list of aims and objectives which include:
To seek a society where everyone who wants to work can.
To create and support the development of more suitable, quality employment opportunities
To increase employment and income levels in the most deprived communities.

Chief Executive Doug Low confirmed the job losses and the enhanced redundancy packages.
He explained they were necessary because Objective One funding - some 4m in seven years - was due to come to an end.
