Who’s fit and who isn’t as struggling Sheffield Wednesday head for QPR feat. Kieran Lee, Tom Lees & Jacob Murphy updates
and live on Freeview channel 276
The Owls face QPR at 3pm tomorrow afternoon as they seek to avoid four successive defeats for the first time since 2018, but it’s confirmed that they will once again be without Kieran Lee in the heart of their midfield.
Lee, who signed a short-term deal to remain at Wednesday until the end of the season, missed the defeat to Preston North End, but could return against Huddersfield Town. Tom Lees, however, is back in training.

Hide AdSpeaking to the media today, Monk said, “We’ve still got today to check. Kieran Lee won’t make this game but the others we’re very hopeful for, we just need to check on them again this morning.
“We need everyone. We don’t have the massive luxury of lots of options, we’re stretched as it is. The positive is that it’s only one aside from Osaze (Urhoghide), he’s a little bit longer, who might be out for the season.
“Tom Lees trained yesterday and as long as he doesn’t have a reaction and feels ok then he could feature.”
Meanwhile, when asked about Jacob Murphy after he came off holding his back shortly after scoring against Preston, Monk had some positive news.

Obviously as you’d expect in this period there’s some bruised and battered bodies and fatigue, but there’s nothing to the suggest that – aside from Kieran who will hopefully be back next week – they would be ruled out. We just need to check their freshness and where they’re at at training this morning.”
Wednesday face a QPR side that could be out of Play-Off contention by kick off depending on tonight’s results, while the Owl need as many points as possible as they seek to make sure they remain in the Championship next season.
