The Star understands that Garry Monk’s players are expected back at Middlewood Road mid-way through August as the hard work starts in their preseason, although their return will be staggered as they go through a number of fitness tests before full team training resumes.
New Owls signing, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, is set to start at the same time as his new teammates following his switch from Manchester City, but – at present – he is going to be the only fresh face among them as Monk welcomes back the bulk of the players who he was working with to end off the past campaign.

Bundesliga.
Wednesday are known to be on the lookout for more new signings to bolster what has become a threadbare squad in recent weeks following the exits of several players, with Dele-Bashiru expected to be the first of a number of new recruits as part of Monk’s rebuilding process at Hillsborough.
SWFC players are currently enjoying time away from the game with family and friends across different parts of the world, but have just a couple more weeks of that before they return to Sheffield to be put through their paces by Monk, Tony Strudwick and the rest of the technical team.
The full schedule of the Owls’ preseason plans are unknown at this stage, but given the current climate, any trip overseas is unlikely, with any friendlies being played set to be against local opposition rather than foreign.
