West Ham United’s Bailey Cadamarteri bids confirmed as Sheffield Wednesday starlet looks to kick on

Bailey Cadamarteri’s dad, Danny, has confirmed that Sheffield Wednesday turned down offers from West Ham United a couple of years ago.

The Star reported prior to the teenager signing his first professional deal at Hillsborough that the Hammers were one of the clubs showing interest in the striker, however it was decided that his future would remain at S6 as he continued to show promise.

‘Cadz’ signed a long-term deal with the club last summer not long after celebrating his 17th birthday, and after his first season as a pro was curtailed by injury, his second season has seen him raise lots of eyebrows in the U21s.

Speaking to the Football League Paper, Cadamarteri senior said his eldest, "Bailey is an old-fashioned number nine who can also run in behind. He’s 6ft 1in and spent time with the first team in pre-season, having played a cup game last season.
