With the aforementioned players - along with the likes of Morgan Fox and Sam Winnall – seeing their Owls contracts expire at Hillsborough this week, July 1st should prove to be the start of a new dawn at the club.
Garry Monk can now move forward knowing that all of the players at the club are committed until at least the end of the current season, and there’s a chance that all but Kieren Westwood (shoulder injury) will be used at some point over the next few weeks – 17 of the 23 have been used at least once since the restart.
So here’s what remains -
Goalkeepers:
Joe Wildsmith, Cameron Dawson, Paul Jones, Kieran Westwood.
Defenders:

Strikers:

Then there’s also the likes of Conor Grant, Ben Hughes, Liam Shaw, Liam Waldock and Josh Render who have spent time training with the first team and could be called upon, giving Monk a few youthful options to look to should he need to fill some gaps in his matchday squad.
