Speaking after his Swindon Town side fell to a 4-1 defeat at MK Dons, Owls legend John Sheridan told BBC Wiltshire “I’m going to resign”.
Sheridan played for Wednesday for seven years, writing himself into club history when he scored the goal that won the Owls the Rumbelows Cup in 1991.

With four matches left in their season the Robins lie bottom of the League One table, three points shy of safety. After winning back-to back games at the end of March, they are on a run of five consecutive defeats.
Wednesday fans joined in support of Sheridan at the desperately sad news he lost both parents over Christmas.
