Reading were without a win in seven games when they arrived to face Sheffield Wednesday, yet a couple of hours later they had three points and three goals, with the Owls failing to find the net. It was a poor day for Garry Monk, and he will hope that things turn around soon. Check out this week’s look at the Championship winners and losers of the weekend.
1. Luke Ayling - winner
Leeds United’s full-back scored the only goal against his former club Bristol City, who let him go for less than £1m in 2016. Way to show them what they’re missing. Photo: George Wood
2. Marek Rodak - loser
Fulham’s keeper had a day to forget as the Cottagers suffered a damaging 3-0 defeat to Barnsley. Both of the first two goals can be filed under ‘avoidable’. Photo: Jordan Mansfield
3. Kieffer Moore - winner
Moore earned his first-ever Championship brace as Wigan Athletic earned a 2-2 draw with Cardiff City. Photo: Lewis Storey
4. Kyle Bartley - loser
Bartley managed to score an own goal AND prevent a late winner for West Brom, when he was adjudged offside as Callum Robinson’s strike went in. He’s had better days. Photo: Nathan Stirk
