It was the third defeat in a row for Moore following his move from Doncaster Rovers, but he says that he saw an improvement from them following the 3-0 loss away a Reading last weekend. Wednesday now have just 11 games left to play as they seek to maintain their Championship status, but their run of seven straight defeats is certainly not something that bodes well for them. That being said, however, Moore says that they now need to build on this game as they begin preparations for the visit of fellow strugglers, Huddersfield Town, on Wednesday night. He told The Star after the 2-1 Canaries defeat, “They’ve got to show that spirit and endeavour, they can’t come off of that now… I’ve seen another performance today when I’ve seen improvement, and it’ll be the smaller details that I pick out of the game in terms of moving forward and continuing to move forward. “But you can’t go back on that level of performance, we have to keep building on it… Short term we really need a win, and lets look to try and get that win as early as possible. “On the back of that I feel like we can build some momentum - the games are still there, we keep working and the points gap is what it is. We get the opportunity on Wednesday to try and close that gap.” So with the improvement that he’s seen, does he feel that staying up is doable? “I have to stay really ultra-confident,” he explained. “Because we still have the games. I think everybody here today has seen a team not lacking in performance, the grit and determination was there, and that’s the thing we have to keep on. I don’t think anybody saw a Sheffield Wednesday team throwing in the towel.” SWFC face Huddersfield at 7.45pm on Wednesday night as they try to make sure they don’t equal the club’s record of eight defeats in a row that was set back in 2000.
