Hamstrings, ankles and an Achilles - Darren Moore’s Sheffield Wednesday injury predicament
and live on Freeview channel 276
Moore came on board at Hillsborough after being appointed as the replacement for Tony Pulis, however there was a large period between the latter’s exit and the former’s appointment.
Now with eight games left to play, Moore and his side are very much up against it in the Championship, needing plenty more points if they’re going to stand any chance of survival.

After the 2-1 win over Barnsley, Moore gave various injury updates on several players who are currently out of action, however the severity of injuries ranges from Dominic Iorfa’s season-ending Achilles injury to Liam Shaw’s niggly hamstring.
The international break, however, may well have given Wednesday the opportunity to recoup some of their players a bit better, and also offer a chance for some of those who have played a lot of games to get a bit of rest.
Now as they prepare to face Watford on Friday afternoon, there’s a chance that Moore could welcome a few faces back into contention for the trip to Vicarage Road.

Definitely out
Dominic Iorfa - Achilles
Chey Dunkley – hamstring
Moses Odubajo - hamstring
Unlikely
Massimo Luongo - thigh
Cameron Dawson - knee
Possible
Sam Hutchinson - hamstring
Liam Shaw - hamstring
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru - ankle
Keiren Westwood - ribs
Jack Marriott - knee
Joost van Aken – ankle
It remains to be seen exactly who will – or won’t – be deemed fit enough to make the trip to Watford for Good Friday, however Moore will be desperate to make sure there are no further additions to their lengthy injury list between now and then.
Wednesday have eight games left to save their season, and if they’re going to pull it off then they need to have all hands on deck.
