The Cypriot side, who are expected to beat Kazakh side FC Kaisar in the competition’s second qualifying round, announced that they had signed the Kosovan international on a free transfer on Friday evening.
Nuhiu, a cult hero at Hillsborough, became only the second player this century to reach 50 goals for Wednesday when he bagged a second-half brace in the penultimate game of last season at Fulham.

Hide AdAnd with pressure mounting on the club to add forward options to a threadbare attack, speculation mounted earlier this month that Wednesday were considering offering Nuhiu the chance to return. The Star confirmed with sources close to the player, however, that there had been no contact between the two parties.
The 31-year-old, who played 277 times for the club across seven years, also contributed 27 assists to the cause and later on in his Owls tenure became known for his penchant for important, injury-time contributions.
Nuhiu left the club when his contract ran out in the summer alongside a number of other senior players. Together with Kieran Lee, the door was seemingly left ajar for a possible return if Wednesday felt they may be useful late in the window.
“I have been concentrating on the players that we have here,” Monk said when asked whether there had been any closure on Nuhiu’s Owls contribution.

“I have told you that the number one aim is to bring that younger, more dynamic players to the club and that’s my number one priority.
“You never shut the door on anything but the priority is to bring a more dynamic feel to the club. I think we have shown that in the five we have brought in.
“That’s my focus but you never shut the door on anything.”
The news comes on the same day that former Owls forward Sam Winnall sealed a move to League One Oxford United.
