Over 40% of League One experts believe Sheffield Wednesday will get PROMOTED: Other views on Sunderland, Portsmouth, Ipswich Town, Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic

That’s according to a monster season preview survey of club reporters from all 24 third tier clubs.

Our man Alex Miller took the job on for Wednesday and said he can see the Owls going up through the play-offs, though it will be far from easy in a very, very competitive division.

NINE further reporters stuck Darren Moore’s men in their predicted trio of clubs to go up.

The survey also asked respondents to describe their clubs’ fortunes and whereabouts the think they might end up, with some fascinating responses.

Reasons for caution: Hardcore Accrington fans will say they have had more success in the last 20 years than fans of most clubs in their lifetime. The constant worry being that success will come to an end at some point - it’s a similar scenario every season, as an Accrington fan it comes with the territory.

Predicted finish: 9th - Heartbreakingly just outside the play-offs, it may just be a bridge too far with the money that is being spent at the so-called 'bigger clubs' that were relegated/promoted last season.
