Sheffield United skipper Billy Sharp backs Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson to be England's No.1 at Euros this summer
Henderson is widely expected to be named in Gareth Southgate’s squad for Euro 2020 after an impressive season to date for United – and may even get a chance to stake a claim for a starting shirt when England face Italy, Denmark, Austria and Romania before their European Championships opener against Croatia.
Henderson made his latest impressive save before the international break against AFC Bournemouth, excellently denying Ryan Fraser in a game United eventually won 2-1.

Hide AdAnd skipper Sharp, who scored United’s equaliser in that game before flying to Dubai with his Blades teammates for a winter training camp, admitted: “Deano wants to make saves and keep clean sheets.
“He couldn’t do that against Bournemouth, which he'll be disappointed about, but he couldn't do anything with their goal. He made a great save to keep it at 1-1 and help us win the game.
“He’s been brilliant and I’d be impressed by him even if he wasn’t playing for United, if he was putting in performances like he has been.
“He has made just one error this season and it’s not up to me who picks England’s No.1, but I have to say that he’s the best goalkeeper I've ever played with and he's got a great career ahead of him.”
