Wilder broke United's transfer record once again before the international break, when he sanctioned a £23m move for the England U21 striker Brewster.
But, speaking after watching the former Chelsea and Liverpool youngster make his Blades debut against Fulham on Sunday afternoon, Wilder moved to clarify how that deal is structured.

"Because that's been bandied about and £3million is quite a lot of money from our point of view."
Brewster made his Blades bow after coming off the bench, but it was skipper Billy Sharp - 14 years his senior - that earned United a share of the spoils from the penalty spot.
"Rhian's coming into the football club to make us better. We're delighted that he has come, and Billy knows that," Wilder added.

"We brought Max Lowe and Jayden Bogle in and Ethan Ampadu has come in on loan. We've got Aaron Ramsdale, the England U21 goalkeeper, and Rhian Brewster has played for the U21s too.
"We're not in a situation where we can go and spend £400million on defenders.
"That's the competition we're in. It's relentless and that's what seems to happen not just to the top teams, right the way through. "We're still building. I can't go and deals in those figures so we have to go a different way, with the likes of Ramsdale and Brewster and the boys I've mentioned, with a sprinkle of Billy now and again.
"And I'm delighted we can do that."
