Chris Wilder has promised that Sheffield United will ‘attack’ their FA Cup tie at Reading next week as they look to book a quarter-final slot.

United travel to the Madejski Stadium after beating Millwall in the last round at The Den.

A win over the Royals will put them into the last eight of the FA Cup - a competition they have not won since 1925.

Their last appearance in a final came in 1936.

Wilder’s men are seventh in the table but only a point behind Manchester United in fifth - which could be the last Champions League spot.

And Wilder said: “We are after more. We have got some fantastic games coming up and a tough FA Cup cup tie that we will go and attack.

“We are in a groove, we are in a good place, the club is in a good place. I have to make sure this continues.”
