McBurnie came off the bench in the 3-0 defeat to Mikel Arteta’s men but was substituted himself after suffering the injury.
Heckingbottom revealed that McBurnie was being taken for an X-ray after the game, and revealed today that he will not be available until next season.

“Which isn’t positive.”
The issue may well hamper McBurnie’s hopes of representing Scotland at this summer’s European Championships if, as Heckingbottom expects, he doesn’t feature again for the Blades ahead of the tournament.
