“We are in a relegation battle, no one is going to give us anything,” Pemberton said.
“I have been in relegation fights as a player and a coach and what happens is teams just above us start looking over their shoulder.
"The result will let people know that we are trying to turn this around.

Chesterfield have only won four out of 15 home games this campaign and have recorded just six clean sheets, with two of those coming under Pemberton.
The 55-year-old has impressed everyone with his enthusisam and positivity and some Spireites fans have called for him to be given the job until the end of the season.
When asked about the manager’s job he said: "I have got a job that I have been asked to do, I am happy to do it for however long.
"I think that will take care of itself.
"I wouldn't be doing myself any harm if we are winning games but I am not too worried about it, it will sort itself out one way or another."
