But companies have reported a number of diversions but most routes appear to be operating in some form.
There is light snow forecast between 5pm and 7pm and then again overnight into the early hours of tomorrow, but in the main Sheffield is expected to remain dry today.

Hide AdAmong the services affected first thing are First South Yorkshire’s 8 and 8A towards Crystal Peaks, which is missing out Thornbridge Road and Birley Lane. Buses are using Thornbridge Drive and Birley Moor Road instead.
First’s number 57 buses are only using main roads and are missing out Worrall.
Its number 56 buses are not serving Wybourn Terminus and are diverted via Manor Oaks Road, Maltravers Terrace, Maltravers Road and Whites Lane.
Its number 51s towards Lodge Moor are terminating at Crosspool.

Hide AdFirst’s 272 service to Castleton is missing out Bamford and Bradwell and sticking to main roads.
Elsewhere, Stagecoach South Yorkshire is not serving Pearson Crescent in Barnsley and First’s 136 service to Hoyland is keeping to the main roads only.
First's 22A and 22C to the Wath and Manvers area in Rotherham are only serving main roads.
Doncaster Council has issued a warning about the condition of some roads.

First’s number 10 buses in are diverting away from Markham Road in Edlington and using Broomhouse Lane in both directions.
