M1 Barnsley: Crashes causes ‘severe’ traffic jams on M1 - junction 36 to 37 southbound worst hit

National Highways reports that two out of the three southbound lanes have been shut between junctions 36 and 37, causing what they have described ‘severe’delays.

And a second incident near Sheffield has also been reported, causing smaller delays.

At 8am today, the incident between junctions 37 was expected to clear by 9.15am

The second incident is between junctions J31 and J30 southbound, and is expected to clear by 9am
