Person taken to hospital after South Yorkshire collision

A person has been taken to hospital, following a two-vehicle collision in South Yorkshire last night.

The collision took place in Wombwell Lane, Wombwell in Barnsley at 9.15pm.

A fire service spokesman said firefighters had to help extricate a person from one of the vehicles.

The same person was subsequently taken to hospital.

The road was closed for around an hour, following the collision.
