Teenager stabbed in neck and back in Sheffield park

A teenager has been stabbed in a Sheffield park yesterday evening.

Police were called to Manor Fields Park off City Road at about 4.50pm after an 18-year-old man was stabbed in the neck and back.

The man was taken to Northern General Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said the teenager’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The park is currently cordoned off as officers continue their investigations into the incident.
