Sheffield store has booze licence revoked 'for putting children at risk'
A hearing at Sheffield City Council heard that the Trinity Shop, in Chesterfield Road, was "undermining the prevention of crime and disorder and the protection of children from harm".
Trading Standards raided the store - located close to the Heeley Retail Park - following a complaint from a member of the public, and discovered a haul of smuggled, illicit and counterfeit cigarettes and tobacco.

Council spokesman Nasreen Sulman said there was " a lack of working CCTV, no refusals log, and there were no posters advertising that anyone attempting to buy alcohol who looks under the age of 25 will be challenged for ID to prove they are over 18".
“The outcome of the hearing was that the Licensing Sub Committee revoked the premises licence to sell alcohol," she said.
The licence holder now has 21 days to appeal this decision.
