Investigation launched after firefighters tackle blaze in Sheffield suburb

An investigation has been launched after a fire broke out in a Sheffield suburb on Thursday afternoon.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said they were called at 1.19pm on June 3 to a property fire on Staniforth Road, Darnall.

A spokesperson said three fire crews from Parkway and two crews from Central attended along with a turntable ladder.

No casualties were reported and the crews left the scene at 3.05pm.

The fire service said they are still investigating the cause of the incident.
