Former Labour Leader Ed Miliband endorses Owen Smith for top job in campaign video
Speaking in a video sent out via email to his supporters, Mr Miliband said he was backing his 'colleague and friend' Owen Smith to be the next Labour Leader.
Commenting on why he thought Mr Smith was the right man for the job, he said: "I want a Labour leader who can unite our party and make us a serious alternative government.

Mr Miliband, who stepped down as Labour Leader last May following a crushing General Election defeat, refrained from criticising the party's current leader, Jeremy Corbyn in the video but said he thought Mr Smith had turned vision into a concrete programme.
