Hide AdSheffield’s District Commander, Chief Superintendent Una Jennings said the seizure of a ‘humongous’ amount of street-ready cannabis was an example of the huge effort under way in Sheffield to tackle drugs and organised crime in the city.
“Drugs in all forms and guises are an issue in England and in our city,” she said.
“They are linked to organised crime and the exploitation of communities and vulnerable people, so I was delighted to see the cannabis haul this week – it was an absolutely humongous amount of street-ready cannabis.
“The seizure is testament to the proactive work we are carrying out involving our Operation Fortify teams across the city.”
