Sheffield Crown Court heard yesterday, October 19, how Ionel Andrei, aged 40, of Pindar Oaks Cottages, near Kendray, Barnsley, and Florin Andrei, aged 44, now of no fixed abode, have been charged with murdering a 43-year-old man who was allegedly found seriously injured at the brothers’ home at Pindar Oaks Cottages on October 12.
Police stated they discovered the man - who later died - after an investigation was launched when a 44-year-old man arrived at Kendray Hospital, Barnsley, with head injuries.

Hide AdIan Goldsack, prosecuting, said both defendants are brothers as were the deceased man and the other injured man.
Investigations into how the man in hospital allegedly sustained his injuries led detectives to the other man who later died, according to police.
The two suspects have also been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Judge Jeremy Richardson QC, The Recorder of Sheffield, adjourned the case until January 25 for a pre-trial preparation hearing with an eight-to-ten day trial scheduled for June 1.
