Hide AdIt has just emerged this morning that protesters have blocked the entrance to New Broadcasting House in central London.
Financial journalist Paul Lewis tweeted: "Locked out of BBC by extinction rebellion."
In a statement, Extinction Rebellion Sheffield said: “Our rebels realise that climate and ecological breakdown is not an abstract concept but the destruction of many lives and a beautiful planet.
“If government does not act now, we face a future of more frequent floods, droughts and famines brought on by more extreme weather and ecosystem breakdown.
“We invite everyone, no matter your age, political alignment, gender or race to join us and rebel for life.”
