Sheffield man wielded machete during baseball bat attack on home
Kieron Parker brandished the weapon after a VW car pulled up outside his terraced house in Grimesthorpe, on the early afternoon of March 31, last year.
Abdul Hussain was one of three men who got out and waved a baseball bat, prosecutor Brian Outhwaite told Sheffield Crown Court.

Parker later told officers he was trying to protect his pregnant girlfriend, and himself, from the attack.
Officers were unable to trace the other two men, but they arrested Hussain, on April 16. He accepted arming himself with a baseball bat and said he was jointly involved with the other two, but alleged Parker damaged his property.
The court heard that Parker also banged on a kitchen window while armed with a claw hammer and demanded money from the occupant, at 12.30pm, on September 13, last year.

Parker told officers he bought drugs from the man but felt he had been "short changed."
Mr Outhwaite said Parker has a number of previous convictions, including two counts of affray in 2013 and another in 2016. Hussain has no relevant previous convictions.
Joy Merriam said Parker deserved credit for his guilty pleas and he acted in self-defence.

"He is the carer for his grandfather," he said of Hussain. "He has not been involved in any further incidents. He would merit some assistance from the probation service."
Parker, 31, of Willoughby Street, Sheffield, pleaded guilty to two counts of affray, and Hussain, 35, of Firth Park Road, Sheffield pleaded guilty to one count.
On Friday, the Recorder of Sheffield, Judge Jeremy Richardson QC, banned Parker from contacting the man he menaced for five years and sentenced him to 15 months, suspended for two years, with 25 rehabilitation days. Hussain received nine months, suspended for two years.
