Sheffield man caught high on drugs when he drove to Derbyshire to pick up friends
and live on Freeview channel 276
Adam Morris was pulled over in North Street, Cromford, in the early hours of September 30 last year, Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court heard on Monday, February 8.
He was stopped by police and undertook a drugs test which found significant quantities of cocaine and cannabis in his blood, said Lynn Bickley, prosecuting.

Hide AdMorris, 29, of Sitwell Street, Eckington, Sheffield, admitted drug driving when he appeared before the court.
Speaking in his own defence, he told magistrates: “I had taken the cocaine the night before and I thought I was okay to drive. I was in the Matlock area to pick up some friends who needed a lift because they couldn’t get a taxi.”
Magistrates banned Morris from driving for 12 months, fined him £380 and ordered him to pay £85 costs and a £38 victim surcharge.
