Rotherham teenagers charged with aggravated burglary after alleged television theft

The boys who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before court yesterday (Thursday, August 20) facing numerous charges in connection with an aggravated burglary in Rotherham on Tuesday, August 18.
It is believed that the teenagers forced their way into a house in Mowbray Gardens shortly before 4am, where they are alleged to have assaulted the 23-year-old man who lived there before taking his television.

Hide AdThe Rotherham boys were detained by officers at an address nearby shortly afterwards.
One boy, aged 17-years-old has been charged with burglary and assault, while another 16-year-old has been charged with burglary, assault, assaulting a police officer and possession of a Class B drug.
Both teenagers appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court yesterday and have been bailed to next appear on September 23.
