Police were called to reports of shots fired on Warren Lane in Chapeltown at around 11:30pm on Friday.
Evidence of firearms discharge was discovered at the scene, with markers seen on the road.
A gold Peugeot was also spotted fleeing the area after neighbours reported hearing two gunshots.
No one suffered injuries, according to the police, who have yet to make any arrests in connection with the incident.
