No charges yet over four shootings in Sheffield in 24 hours

Nearly one year on since four gun attacks were reported to South Yorkshire Police, the force said nobody has yet been charged.
In the first incident on Friday, May 8, three men were shot in Grimesthorpe Road, Burngreave, after a gun was fired at a group congregating in the street just after midnight.

Hide AdTwo hours later another man was shot when a gun was fired at a flat on Club Garden Road, Sharrow.
Later that night two groups opened fire at each other in Machon Bank, Nether Edge and a gun was fired at a house on nearby Union Road.
At the time, Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Henderson, said: “The shootings are all being investigated as targeted incidents, involving people who are known to each other and are believed to be connected to serious organised crime happening in the city.”
