Family of Sheffield murder victim set for third Christmas without him as killer remains on the run

Kavan Brissett, aged 21, was stabbed in his chest during a disturbance on the Grammar Street car park, Upperthorpe, in August 2018.
Four men are accused of conspiracy to commit robbery on the night of the murder but nobody has yet been charged with the killing.

Hide AdA man believed to hold vital information about the stabbing has gone to ground to evade arrest.
One possibility is that he may have left the country.
Ahmed Farrah, 31, was treated for facial injuries at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital on the same night that Kavan was stabbed.
He vanished from Sheffield the following day and was last seen in Cardiff one month later.
Detective Chief Inspector Jude Ashmore, leading the murder probe, said: “I have a team of officers who are as committed as ever to finding the person responsible for Kavan’s death.

Hide Ad“This time of year is particularly difficult for Kavan’s family as they look toward another celebration that will take place without him. They are still hopeful that somebody will come forward with a vital piece of information to help move this investigation forward.
