A man has been charged with attempted murder, after an alleged assault outside a house in Sheffield on Tuesday morning.

Bradley Spencer, of Pot House Lane, Stocksbridge, aged 29, was due to appear before Sheffield magistrates today, after he was arrested following the incident on Cedar Road after emergency services were called out at around 7.55am.

A man in his 30s was found with serious injuries and taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A house was taped off while police investigated.
