A cannabis set-up and an “array of weapons” have been seized from a property in a Sheffield neighbourhood.

Police officers from the Sheffield North West Neighbourhood Policing Team discovered the set-up at a property in the Stannington area of the city earlier this week.

A spokesperson for the team said electrics had been bypassed at the property to assist the illegal cannabis operation, “posing a risk to the occupant and other residents.”

They added: “Not sure who the resident was expecting, but his nice array of weapons suggested we wouldn't have been greeted with a cuppa if they were in.

“Another successful warrant, drugs and weapons removed from the street.”

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
