Armed South Yorkshire man who frightened police woman with imitation firearm due to be sentenced

Sheffield Crown Court heard on Thursday, September 10, how Jordan Lynch, aged 31, of Tennyson Road, Herringthorpe, Rotherham, committed the offence against a South Yorkshire Police constable on April 15.
Lynch admitted possessing a BB gun with intent to cause fear or violence.

Hide AdEdward Moss, defending, requested an adjournment so psychiatric and probation reports could be considered before sentencing.
Laura Marshall, prosecuting, said police bodyworn camera footage captured the incident and she asked for the footage to be seen in court at the next hearing.
Judge Sarah Wright agreed to request a probation report and she understood that a psychiatric report would also be presented but she told Lynch she was not making any promises at this stage regarding the type of sentence he will receive.
She adjourned the case until November 3 for a sentence hearing. Lynch was remanded in custody.
