Police have this evening been called out to reports of a 'suspicious package'Â yards from the scene of the Westminster terror attack.
Witnesses reported on social media accounts that they heard loud bangs near Parliament Square this evening.
Officers have reportedly set up a 100m cordon while they investigate.
A Met Police spokesman confirmed they were called to Birdcage Walk to reports of a suspicious package.
A controlled explosion has reportedly been carried out.
