A Sheffield gallery is hosting the opening evening a group exhibition about the first day of summer called Solstice.

Fronteer Gallery on Exchange Street in the city centre presents the opening evening tonight, June 21, from 6-8pm.

Solstice will feature the work of more than 20 artists from around the UK, each responding to the theme of Solstice in their own way.

The stayhappening.com website says: “Solstice promises to be a diverse, intriguing exhibition featuring concepts such as nature, ritual, religion, movement and, of course, the sun. All delivered through a variety of styles from artists of various backgrounds.
