Sheffield community lighting up the October sky with Lanterns
Groups from all over the city have been preparing for the Parkwood springs Beacons Lantern Procession on Saturday October 12.
Joint Chair of the Friends of Parkwood Springs Neill Schofield said: “This will be a magical event. Everyone is welcome to come, join in, and enjoy the special atmosphere."

Hide AdThe lantern processions have been bringing community and people of all ages together for the past five years and this year’s event will be bringing Indian street food, stalls, tea and coffee before the procession.
Neill added: “We had seen lantern processions in other places and thought we would have a good time with something like that on Parkwood Springs.
“This is the big event of the year.”
Stalls will be open at around 4.30pm, the lantern procession is expected to start at 5.45 and is expected to finish by 7.00pm.
