A supermarket just outside Sheffield city centre has applied to sell alcohol around the clock.

Budgens on London Road is currently open from 7am to midnight each day but wants to open 24 hours a day, including Sundays, selling alcohol for consumption off the premises.

Samy Ltd, which runs the store, has also applied to Sheffield Council for the right to sell hot food and drink between 11pm and 5am.

People have until Tuesday to make any written representations regarding the licensing application.
