Crews at Doncaster's ambulance stations braved the shave – by agreeing to get severe haircuts to raise cash for local food banks.

A number of the town's key workers braved the clippers and took on a whole new look to help raise money to buy food for vulnerable people in Doncaster during the coronavirus lockdown.

A spokesman said: “Not going to be needing shampoo for a few weeks, hopefully it grows back.”

They underwent the shaves after drawing haircut grades out of a bag.
