Downing Street has confirmed that mass testing will be available in all Tier 3 areas.
The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said: “Local authorities that fall into Tier 3 will be able to apply for support from NHS Test and Trace and the armed forces to deliver a six-week, rapid community testing programme.
“That will include access to a supply of lateral flow tests, support with planning and logistics and funding and communication support.”

If the infection rates in areas have decreased sufficiently, then there is potential for the level in which an authority is placed to be lowered.
The Government initially launched a tool that can he used to check which tier your postcode area has been placed in, and read the rules which apply to you.
However this tool crashed almost immediately after it was launched at 11.30am this morning and has since been replaced by a list which details the areas in each tier.
You can access that list to check you area here.
