In other developments, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has spent the night in intensive care on the advice of his medical team after his symptoms worsened.
The PM – who was admitted to St Thomas’ Hospital in London on Sunday – was transferred to intensive care last night after being given oxygen earlier in the day.
A statement said that Mr Johnson, 55, was still conscious but had been moved to intensive care to be nearer to a ventilator if it was needed.
He has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to deputise for him "where necessary".
Mr Raab will chair the government's daily Covid-19 meeting later today.
