A TOTAL of 25 public payphones across Sheffield are being axed because nearly everyone now has a mobile phone.
BT has published a list of 25 payphones which it plans to remove.

It says its customers' needs have changed drastically and the number of calls made from payphones has more than halved in the last three years.

The only people I have ever seen using public call boxes are those who I suspect are trying to score some smack .... It's a system from a different age.

I'd certainly not use one, Imagine all of the plebeians who have used it before coughing their vile germs and disease over the receiver.

All public phones should be axed,as the only people that use them are smackheads or people that need a pi*s
