Sheffield special needs school hit by Covid-19 as two staff members test positive

Heritage Park Community School confirmed the news in a text to parents this morning.
The Norfolk Road facility, for pupils aged six-16 with social, emotional and mental health needs, joins a rapidly growing list of schools across the city with confirmed cases.

Hide AdThe school remains open but the two staff members or anyone who has been in close contact with them has been sent home to isolate.
The text reads: “We have followed Public Health guidelines closely and taken appropriate action.
"We will continue to monitor the situation and take fast action to keep all safe.”
The Star has contacted Heritage Park Community School for comment.
