A DONCASTER divorce lawyer has opened a new office in Doncaster - and the manager is his ex-wife.
Andrew Isaacs, aged 47, has set up practice in Regent Terrace and when he heard his former wife, Chris, had just returned from living in Spain he immediately offered her the job of office manager.

He said: “I know that she is fantastic at her job.

“We would like to think that working together shows that divorced people don’t have to hate each other and can get on well together for the sake of the children. Family is very important.”

Andrew and Chris have two children, Andrew, aged 21, and Robert, 20, who are both at university.

Chris added: “It was a shock when Andrew offered me the job but I had no doubts at all that I should take it.

“I think that I have forgiven him for getting too good a deal from me in our divorce!

“He isn’t a bad boss but he does say that I still nag him.”

While living and working in Bournemouth Andrew founded a night shelter and refuge for battered women and wants to get involved with charities in Doncaster in his spare time.

He stood for Parliament in 1997 as a Conservative but is no longer politically active.

Chris’s new partner owns a restaurant in the Costa Almeria, Spain, and she regularly flies out there at weekends.
